How to Forward Calls from 8x8 to CaptureNow

To forward calls through your 8x8 account

  1. Log in to your 8x8 Account Manager.
  2. Go to your Extension numbers.
  3. Click on the Extension you wish to forward.
  4. Go to your Basic information.
  5. Make sure the phone number/s selected are the ones you wish to forward.
  6. Set the Ring Pattern to Simultaneous, and the Ring Group Caller ID to Caller's name and Caller's number.
  7. The Total time to alert a member setting, should be set to no more than 10 seconds or more to ensure there is enough time for CaptureNow to answer your calls.
  8. Scroll down to the Call forwarding rules, and select Forward all calls.
  9. Click the pencil icon to edit the settings.
  10. Type in your CaptureNow number.
  11. Then click on it to add it to the list.
  12. Click Save
  13. When complete, be sure to click “Save” at the bottom of the extension page to enable your new call forwarding set-up.
  14. Be sure to set your call forwarding hours.

To forward your calls from your Admin Console

  1. Log into your admin console portal.
  2. Go to your Setting on the bottom left of the page.
  3. Open your Account Settings.
  4. In the left hand menu, click on Call forwarding rules.
  5. Go to the pencil icon to edit the call forwarding rules.
  6. In the Forwarding window, type in your CaptureNow number in the Select target box
  7. It will register it as an external number.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Make sure you click Save again at the bottom of the Call forwarding rules page.
  10. Be sure to set your call forwarding hours.
