How to Forward Calls from Vonage to CaptureNow / Enabling Caller ID for Vonage

Caller ID Forwarding

  1. Access your Vonage Dashboard and click on the Admin portal.
  2. Click Phone System and then click Extensions.
  3. Hover over the extension you want to set and then click the Pencil icon.
  4. Click Call Forwarding, and ensure Originating Caller ID is selected in the User Caller ID section.
  5. You are finished.

Call Forwarding (if number is in the Extension list)

  1. Sign in to the Admin Panel.
  2. Click Phone System and then click Extensions.
  3. Hover over the extension you want to set and then click the Pencil icon.
  4. Click Call Forwarding, then toggle Forward Calls to enabled.
  5. Select Send To Ext. or Number and then set options:
  6. Forward All My Calls To: Click the Add New Number button to enter an outside number to receive forwarded calls.
  7. NOTE: You can delete an entered phone number from the selection menu by clicking the Trash icon next to it.
  8. Use Caller ID: Select a Caller ID option. The best option here is to show the originating number.
  9. Click Save.

Call Forwarding (if number is in the Virtual Receptionist list)

  1. Sign in to the Admin Panel.
  2. Click Phone System and then click Virtual Receptionist.
  3. Hover over the number that you want to forward CaptureNow. Click the pencil to edit the settings for this number.
  4. Select the Virtual Receptionist Schedule.
  5. Choose 24 hours a day, seven days a week or set to hours forward to calls to Capture Now.
  6. Go to Virtual Receptionist options and select “Forward calls to External Number”.
  7. Add your CaptureNow number to forward calls to. We suggest using the option "Originating Caller ID" so that the caller ID information is passed to our system.
  8. Click Save.

Enable Caller ID for Vonage

  1. Access your Vonage Dashboard.
  2. Click on the Admin Portal.
  3. Click Phone System.
  4. Then click Extensions.
  5. Hover over the extension you want to set and then click the Pencil icon.
  6. Click Call Forwarding, and ensure Originating Caller ID is selected in the User Caller ID section.
